One day, his old friend Li Xian came to borrow some silver.
一天，他的老友李贤来向他借些银两。
Li Xian’s family was poor, and he desperately needed money to treat his sick mother.
李贤家境贫寒，急需钱救治病重的母亲。
Hearing this, Han Dafu frowned and hesitated for a long time.
韩大富听后，皱着眉头，迟迟不肯答应。
He sighed, “Even though I have money, I cannot lend it carelessly.”
他叹气道：“我钱财虽多，但也不能随便借。”
Li Xian said softly, “I only need thirty taels of silver.”
李贤低声道：“我只需要三十两银子。”
Han Dafu shook his head, “Thirty taels is not a small amount.”
韩大富摇头：“三十两不是小数目。”
A servant whispered to Han Dafu, “Your storeroom is filled with mountains of silver. This amount is just a tiny fraction for you.”
仆人听了，悄悄对韩大富说：“您家仓库的银子堆积如山，这点钱对您来说只是九牛一毛。”
Han Dafu paused, looking at his storeroom packed with gold and silver.
韩大富沉思片刻，看向满库的金银珠宝。
Compared to his fortune, thirty taels were indeed insignificant.
相比他的财富，三十两银子确实微不足道。
He finally spoke, “Alright, this amount is truly nothing to me.”
他终于开口道：“好吧，这点钱对我来说的确不算什么。”
He took out thirty taels of silver and handed them to Li Xian.
他取出三十两银子，交给了李贤。
Li Xian gratefully said, “To you, it’s a tiny amount, but to me, it’s a life-saving grace!”
李贤感激地说：“对您而言是九牛一毛，对我却是救命之恩！”
Soon after, Li Xian’s mother recovered, and his family’s life gradually improved.
不久后，李贤的母亲病愈，全家生活也逐渐改善。
Seeing this, Han Dafu felt a sense of relief in his heart.
韩大富见状，心里竟有些宽慰。
From then on, he was no longer stingy and was willing to help those in need.
从此，他不再吝啬，愿意帮助有需要的人。
"A tiny speck among wealth" describes something extremely small and insignificant, just like a single hair on nine oxen.
九牛一毛，形容极其渺小，微不足道，就像九头牛身上的一根毛一样。
