Though old, the Foolish Old Man spent each day thinking about how to remove these mountains.
愚公年事已高，但他每天都在思考如何把这些山移走。
One day, the Foolish Old Man gathered his family and decided to start digging.
有一天，愚公召集家人，决定动手挖山。
His wife advised him, "You are already so old. How can you possibly move such large mountains?"
他的妻子劝他说：“你已经这么老了，怎么可能挖动这么大的山呢？”
The Foolish Old Man replied, "Though I am old, if I dig a little every day, eventually, I will be able to move these mountains."
愚公坚持道：“虽然我老了，但我每天挖一点，总有一天能把这些山移走。”
So, he began to dig, working hard every day.
于是，他开始动手挖山，每天辛勤工作。
People from neighboring villages heard of this and laughed at him, thinking it was impossible for him to succeed.
邻村的人听说了这一消息，都笑他太傻，觉得他根本不可能成功。
However, the Foolish Old Man was undeterred and continued with his plan.
然而，愚公不为所动，依然坚持着自己的决定。
His descendants also joined him, digging every day.
他的子孙们也加入了他，每天都一起挖山。
Though the mountains were huge, the Foolish Old Man’s determination grew stronger.
山虽然大，但愚公的决心越来越坚定。
The Jade Emperor heard about this and was moved by the old man’s perseverance.
天帝听说了这件事，觉得愚公的毅力非常感人。
So, the Jade Emperor sent two immortals to help the Foolish Old Man move the mountains.
于是，天帝派了两位神仙下凡，帮助愚公移山。
Soon, the mountains were moved, and the village was finally accessible.
不久，山被挪开，村子终于通行无阻。
The Foolish Old Man's persistence and determination moved the gods, proving the power of never giving up in the face of difficulties.
愚公的坚持和决心，感动了天神，证明了不怕困难、坚持到底的力量。
From then on, the story of the Foolish Old Man moving the mountains became a famous Chinese legend, inspiring generations.
从此，愚公移山的故事成为了中国古代传说，激励着一代又一代的人。
