The Steadfast Tin Soldier

Once upon a time, a boy received a set of tin soldiers for his birthday.

One of the soldiers had only one leg because he was the last one cast and there wasn’t enough tin.

The one-legged tin soldier was placed on the windowsill and fell in love with a paper ballerina.

She stood gracefully on one leg, just like him, and he thought they were perfect for each other.

One day, the soldier fell out of the window and into the street.

A group of boys found him and placed him in a paper boat, sending him down the gutter.

The tin soldier braved many dangers, including being swallowed by a fish.

Miraculously, the fish was caught and brought to the boy’s home, reuniting him with the ballerina.

However, tragedy struck when the tin soldier was thrown into a fire.

As he melted, the paper ballerina was carried into the flames, and they perished together.

In the ashes, a heart-shaped lump of tin was found, a symbol of his steadfast love.

Moral: True love and courage endure even in the face of adversity and loss.
