The Lion and the Mouse

One day, a mighty lion was resting in the jungle when a tiny mouse accidentally ran over his paw.

The lion woke up and caught the mouse, ready to eat him.

"Please spare me, and someday I will repay your kindness," begged the mouse.

Amused, the lion let him go, thinking such a small creature could never help him.

Sometime later, the lion was caught in a hunter's net and roared for help.

The mouse heard his cries and rushed to his aid.

Using his sharp teeth, the mouse gnawed through the ropes and set the lion free.

"See?" said the mouse, "Even a little mouse can help a mighty lion."

Moral: No act of kindness is ever wasted, and even the smallest can help the great.
