Icarus

Daedalus, a brilliant inventor, was imprisoned with his son Icarus on the island of Crete by King Minos.

Determined to escape, Daedalus crafted two pairs of wings from feathers and wax.

Before their flight, Daedalus warned Icarus, "Do not fly too high, or the sun will melt the wax. Do not fly too low, or the sea spray will soak the feathers."

Icarus eagerly agreed and followed his father as they soared into the sky.

Overcome by the exhilaration of flying, Icarus ignored his father's warnings and flew higher and higher.

The intense heat of the sun melted the wax binding his wings, and the feathers fell apart.

Icarus plunged into the sea and drowned, leaving Daedalus heartbroken.
