Unshakable Truth

Zhu Xi was a smart scholar.

He loved reading and thinking about problems.

One day, he told his students, "Truth must be clear."

Someone asked, "How do we know if a truth is real?"

Zhu Xi smiled and said, "Real truth cannot be broken."

A student shook his head. "But some people disagree."

Zhu Xi picked up a stone and gently dropped it to the ground.

The stone rolled a little but remained unbroken.

Then, he threw it harder, but it still didn’t break.

The students widened their eyes. "Why won’t it break?"

Zhu Xi said, "Because it is a real stone."

"Truth is the same. The real truth cannot be broken."

Someone argued, "But some truths change over time."

Zhu Xi shook his head. "That is only a misunderstanding, not a mistake."

"A real truth is like this stone."

"No matter how you throw it, it won’t break."

"'Bumpy' means shaking and hitting."

"'Unbroken' means it does not shatter."

"'Truth Never Breaks' means real truth cannot be overturned."
