Be Content and Stay Honest

There was a little boy named Zhang San,

who lived in a quiet little village.

Zhang San's family was ordinary,

but he never complained.

Every morning, Zhang San helped his family feed the chickens,

then he went to the fields to help his father plant vegetables.

The villagers were all busy,

but he never slacked off, always doing his best.

He had a small dream, which was to help his family live a better life.

One day, a big merchant came to the village,

and he showed the villagers some very beautiful jewels.

Everyone wanted the jewels, but the merchant said it was all about luck.

Zhang San also had a chance, but he did not compete.

He thought, "I can calmly do my own work,

there is no need to take risks to get what others already have."

In the end, the merchant left, and Zhang San continued his peaceful life.

Although others might have more wealth,

Zhang San never envied them, he just focused on doing his own work.

He heard his father say, "To do things well,

and to live a peaceful life is the happiest."

This was Zhang San's life, simple yet fulfilling.

He learned to cherish everything he had,

and understood the true meaning of "content with one's life."
