In Li Village, there was a man named Zhang San who liked to cause trouble.
李村有个叫张三的人，喜欢四处挑事。
One day, he saw his neighbor, Wang Da, sweeping in front of his house.
一天，他看到邻居王大正在门前扫地。
Zhang San walked over and deliberately sneered.
他走过去，故意笑着说：“你是不是在扫我家门前的灰？”
Wang Da frowned and said, “I’m just sweeping my own yard.”
王大皱眉说：“我只是扫自己的院子。”
Zhang San snorted loudly and shouted, “Are you trying to cause trouble for me?”
张三冷哼一声，大声嚷道：“你这不是故意找我麻烦吗？”
Hearing the commotion, people gathered to watch.
旁边的人听见了，纷纷围过来看热闹。
Wang Da sighed and said, “This is nothing. Why are you getting so upset?”
王大无奈地说：“这根本没什么事，你何必生气？”
But Zhang San became more agitated and even threatened to report it to the village chief.
张三却越说越激动，甚至扬言要找族长评理。
The village chief listened to their argument and sighed.
族长听了两人的争执后，叹了口气。
He said, “Wang Da sweeping has nothing to do with you. You are clearly making trouble for no reason.”
他说：“王大扫地与你何干？你这分明是无事生非。”
Zhang San's face turned red, realizing he was in the wrong, and he walked away.
张三脸色一红，知道自己理亏，低头走开了。
From then on, people in the village avoided him.
从此，村里的人都不愿搭理张三。
Everyone said, “Those who stir trouble will only embarrass themselves in the end.”
大家都说：“惹事的人，最终只会让自己难堪。”
Stirring trouble for no reason means creating problems out of nothing, causing unnecessary conflicts.
无事生非，指的是没有原因却故意挑起争端，制造麻烦。
