The Lion and the Mouse

One day, a mighty lion was resting in the jungle after a big meal.

A small mouse accidentally ran over the lion's paw, waking him up.

The lion caught the mouse with his huge paw and roared, "How dare you disturb my sleep?"

The mouse, trembling with fear, begged, "Please spare my life! Someday I will repay your kindness."

The lion laughed at the idea that a tiny mouse could ever help him.

Amused, he decided to let the mouse go, saying, "You're too small to bother with."

A few days later, the lion was caught in a hunter's net and could not free himself.

He roared loudly in frustration, and the mouse heard his cries.

The mouse quickly ran to the trapped lion and began gnawing at the ropes.

With great effort, the mouse chewed through the net, freeing the lion.

The lion, grateful and amazed, said, "I never thought someone so small could help me."

The mouse replied, "Even the smallest creatures can be of help to the mighty."

Moral: No act of kindness is ever wasted.
