A Dazzling Display of Colors

Xiaoming followed his father to the bustling market in the capital.

It was his first time seeing such a lively place.

The streets were brightly lit, and people were everywhere.

Shops were filled with dazzling goods of all kinds.

There were shining silks and glistening jade ornaments.

The candy stalls displayed colorful sweets that looked delicious.

Xiaoming was so excited that he wanted to buy everything.

His father chuckled and said, "Take your time. Look carefully at what is truly valuable."

At a jade stall, Xiaoming spotted a particularly beautiful piece of jade.

He picked it up and said, "This jade is so beautiful! I want to buy it."

The shopkeeper grinned and said, "This is the finest jade, worth a fortune."

His father took the jade and examined it carefully.

Then, he lightly scratched the surface with his fingernail.

A white mark appeared, and his father shook his head.

"This is just dyed fake jade. Real jade doesn’t scratch so easily," he explained.

Xiaoming was shocked and asked, "But why does it look so beautiful?"

His father smiled and said, "Some things may shine brightly, but that doesn’t mean they’re real."

Xiaoming nodded, realizing the importance of distinguishing real value.

In a world full of dazzling sights, one must learn to see the truth behind appearances.
