During the Three Kingdoms period, Lü Meng was a general of Eastern Wu.
He was brave and skilled in battle but did not like reading.
Sun Quan noticed this and advised him, "As a general, you should study more."
Lü Meng felt embarrassed and said, "I only know how to fight. Studying is too hard."
Sun Quan smiled and said, "Knowledge makes you smarter. Why be afraid?"
Lü Meng listened and started studying military strategy and history.
But he found many parts difficult to understand.
So he began asking scholars for help.
Some people laughed at him, saying, "You're a general. Why ask scholars?"
Lü Meng replied, "There is no shame in learning. Gaining knowledge is what matters."
He humbly asked for advice and carefully listened to explanations.
After a few years, he became much wiser.
Lu Su saw him and was shocked: "You are much smarter than before!"
Lü Meng smiled and said, "Because I am willing to learn from those who know more."
Later, he used his wisdom and courage to defeat many enemies.
The people of Eastern Wu admired his growth and called him a great general in both war and wisdom.
By being humble and asking for guidance, Lü Meng transformed from a warrior into a true leader.
Only by letting go of pride and learning humbly can we continue to improve.
