The soldiers gripped their weapons tightly.
士兵们听后，都握紧了手中的武器。
The people helped transport food and repair the city walls.
百姓们也纷纷帮助运送粮食和修补城墙。
Everyone worked together to defend their home.
大家团结一心，坚守着自己的家园。
The enemy attacked again and again but was always pushed back.
敌军一次次进攻，都被赵国的军队击退。
The soldiers shouted, "We will defend Zhao to the death!"
士兵们高喊：“誓死保卫赵国，不让敌人攻进来！”
The people said, "We will protect our home together!"
百姓们也说：“我们一起守护我们的家！”
Seeing Zhao’s army and people so united, the enemy began to feel fear.
敌军见赵国军民如此团结，开始感到害怕。
They fought for a long time but could not break through the city.
他们打了很久，却始终无法攻破城池。
Eventually, the exhausted enemy had no choice but to retreat.
最终，敌军筋疲力尽，只能撤退。
Zhao’s soldiers and people celebrated their victory together.
赵国的军队和百姓一起庆祝胜利。
Lian Po told everyone, "Without our unity, we would not have won."
廉颇对大家说：“如果没有大家同仇敌忾，我们不会赢。”
The people understood that only by standing together could they overcome difficulties.
百姓们明白，只有团结一致，才能战胜困难。
From then on, the people of Zhao trusted each other even more and continued to protect their home.
从此，赵国的人民更加信任彼此，共同守护家园。
"United against the enemy" was the key to their victory.
同仇敌忾，让他们赢得了这场战争。
