Haste Makes Waste

In ancient times, there was a young man named Zhao Guo.

Zhao Guo was very smart, but he was always in a hurry to succeed.

When he was learning to ride a horse, he wanted to become an expert quickly.

Every day, he tried to ride faster, but he kept falling off.

His master saw this and said, "Don’t rush, learning to ride a horse takes time and patience."

But Zhao Guo didn’t listen, still eager to ride faster.

One day, he rode too fast, lost control of the horse, and fell hard.

Zhao Guo was seriously hurt and had to rest for a long time to recover.

He felt regretful and asked his master how he could make up for it.

The master smiled and said, "If you hadn’t rushed, you would have learned better, and the injury would not have happened."

Zhao Guo finally understood and decided to practice slowly, learning each step thoroughly.

Gradually, his riding skills improved, and he could easily control the horse.

After a long time, Zhao Guo became an expert rider.

He sighed, saying, "If I hadn’t rushed back then, I would have learned it much sooner."

From then on, Zhao Guo no longer rushed in anything he did.

He understood that patience is key, and slow progress leads to success.

In the end, Zhao Guo became the nation's master of horsemanship.

He used his experience to tell others, "You can’t rush things; only by taking it slow can you do it well."
