接着，国王看着山问：“这座山最高吧？”
The ministers replied, "Yes, it’s the tallest!"
大臣们说：“是的，最高！”
Next, the king asked, "This river is the longest, right?"
然后，国王问：“这条河最长吧？”
The ministers answered, "Of course, the longest!"
大臣们答：“当然，最长！”
The king thought his country was invincible.
国王觉得自己国家无敌。
One day, an envoy from the Han dynasty arrived.
有一天，汉朝的使者来了。
The envoy passed through the neighboring kingdom of Dian.
使者经过了邻国滇国。
The king of Dian asked, "Which is bigger, the Han dynasty or our kingdom?"
滇王问：“汉朝和我们哪个大？”
The envoy was shocked, as he didn’t expect Yelang to ask the same question.
使者吓了一跳，没想到夜郎国竟问同样的问题。
The king asked, "Which is bigger, the Han dynasty or my country?"
国王问：“汉朝和我的国家哪个大？”
The envoy told the king that Yelang was only a small kingdom.
使者告诉国王，夜郎只是一个小小的国家。
The king was very surprised.
国王听了非常惊讶。
He realized that Yelang was not the biggest.
他才知道夜郎并不是最大的。
