Beyond Cure

During the Warring States period, there was a famous doctor in the State of Song.

One day, he went to see a sick man.

The patient only had a cough and thought it was nothing serious.

The doctor said, "Your illness has just started. You should treat it quickly."

The patient waved his hand and said, "It’s just a small illness, no need to worry."

A few days later, his condition worsened, and the doctor came again.

The doctor said, "Your illness is getting worse. If you don’t treat it now, it will be dangerous."

But the patient still didn’t care. "I’ll wait a few more days, it should get better."

More time passed, and the patient became very weak.

The doctor came to check again, shook his head, and sighed.

"It is now beyond cure. There is no way to save him."

The patient regretted it, but it was too late.

In the end, the patient died because he delayed treatment.

The doctor sighed, "People like this are truly beyond cure."

This story tells us that when a problem appears, we must solve it quickly.

If we wait until it’s too late, it will truly become ‘beyond cure’.
