晋朝时，有个叫张的人。

He was invited by a friend to drink wine.

As he sat at the table, a bow was hanging on the wall nearby.
他坐在桌旁，墙上挂着一把弓。

The light in the room caused the bow’s shadow to fall onto a cup of wine.
房间里的光线使弓的影子投射在酒杯里。

Zhang, in the midst of drinking, suddenly noticed the shadow of the bow inside the cup.
张正在喝酒时，突然注意到酒杯里有弓的影子。

The shadow was shaped like a snake coiled inside the glass.
那个影子形状像一条蛇盘绕在杯子里。

Zhang, startled and frightened, immediately stood up and shouted, "There's a snake in my cup!"
张被吓到了，立刻站起来喊道：“我的杯子里有条蛇！”

The host, who was sitting across from him, was confused and asked what had happened.

Zhang pointed to the cup, his face pale with fear, and said that there was a snake in the cup, and it was about to strike.
